Her 2nd album Xua tan niem dau has relieved nearly January 2007 and is one of the best, i’ve been listen to it every day.

according to a prior interview, she stated that she did not have any formal voice training. her voice obviously is not in the same breed as of thanh lam or mylinh but imho she was born with a a gift to deliver such mediocre songs with soul and unique interpretations. can’t wait for her next release.

she sounds like My Tam but younger and sweeter. the album is just like many others, instant noodle, mi an lien, none of those songs gonna last a month in your fav collection, xcept Hay tra loi em. but shes better than tons of young singers

Although her album is not all-good, I think Phut Giay Hanh Phuc and Quen 1 Cuoc Tinh aren’t that disappointing. She can still be sensual with a strong voice. and Hay Tra Loi Em definitely made an “impact” for pop-listeners in VN.

I do not think LQ voice is anywhere remotely to any sentimental description of a flat voice. She has a very commanding voice, unlike many of the artists from the country, they all sound so similiar and plain in variety. I am very selective with my music and I like artists who are different and unique. I only listen to about 2 or 3 Viet artists from the country, and LQ is one of them.

when i went back to VN a friend of my bought Le Quyen CD for me as a going away present and i have to say i cannot put it away. I think she’s amazing and i can’t wait for her other CDs. Is she vietnam or U.S based? does anyone know?
