Jazz Me Boo

I have managed to create a blog (another one?) on Yahoo just so I can interact with Luat Danh, Dieu Hien, and Diem Thuyen—the 360′s circle. And I am not ashamed to admit that I rape both of Luat’s and Dieu’s site to get the latest goodies. They are my weed suppliers. As for the name, why Jazz Me Boo? Beat the hell out of me. I really don’t know what to do with the blog either. So I just post up whatever pleases my eyes. So far only pretty chicks catch my sight.

  1. I really like the demo of “Deep Water.” Somehow I just find the name
NguyenXinhXo so hillarious :) By any chance, do you know if NXX is a dude or dudette, Donny? Just curious

  2. Why are you doing this to me Donny? You know how I feel about Tran Thu Ha. If you’re gonna give something from her, give me the whole damn album :) You’re killing me here :)

  3. Yeah, Xinh Xo, quite a name, huh? I would predict a dude, but don’t know for sure.

If she has the whole album, it is more lightly that I get from you guys than the other way around :)

  4. What the hell is going on with Tran Thu Ha?

After listen to both demos, I came to the conclusion that ‘Deep Water’ should be re-naming ‘Deep trouble’. I like the melody and lyrics of the song but trying to use electronic or Psychedelic feel or style to this song is….wrong, different does not mean good. ‘Deep Water’ is so…so deep in reverb and delay that I drowned listen to the song and please, enough with using kids to start off a song. Everyone is doing it already, enough is enough.

Someone needs to tell Tran Thu Ha to slow down and wake up. She needs to use Nhat Thuc as a standard to start from now and stop screwing around.

Here’s a quote to stick by, “There are two kinds of fools. One says-this is old and therefore good. The other says-this is new (or different) and therefore better.”

Xinh Xo is probably a girl.

  5. xinh Xo is the son of Nguyen Xinh. Xinh Xo is Tran Thu Ha’s long time friend. Xinh Xo composes and plays instruments (guitar and piano i believe). She always introduces him when they perform together in concerts. I like his songs a lot (check out “uoc mot ngay” in Ho Ngoc Ha’s “24gio7ngay”.)

  6. It looks like Tran Thu Ha’s Website people do not want me to link to the demo; therefore, they changed the link. So fuck ‘em. I took it off.

  7. Oh man, no wonder I’ve been looking for the link (thanks for the warning :)), couldn’t find it. I was interested to know more about the CD, but I guess they don’t want the free publicity and to receive people’s appreciation of Tran Thu Ha’s music. Speaking about this topic, I want to ask people about something. Artists and musicians always claim that it’s all about the fans and want to reach out to the fans, but when we go our way out to get to their music on the net, they get pissed because we didn’t go to the music store to spend our money on their CDs. I thought it’s about the fans and how the musicians want share and express their thoughts and feelings through their songs.

  8. thoughts and self expression is not sustaining without dong xu, com chao.

also, i do not tend to simply buy an album without either trying a sample or receiving a recommendation of some sort. therefore online samples are invaluable for the savvy shopper like myself. unless the album cover appeals to my shallow visual aesthetic senses, like a guy to a sports illustrated swimsuit cover, an unproven cd is simply relegated to 50 cent ‘laser disc and other stuff, v.v.’ bin at the music store.

thank you Tran Thu Ha for the pre-warned sample music, I won’t waste a blank cd to copy your new cd.

  11. I like a couple of songs from TTH such as “em ve tinh khoi”
    “sac mau” “binh yen” .
TTH please spare me of the kitty/kiddy stuff.
Oh I also hate the electronic sound that other singers used to try to make the voice sound like a robot. That isn’t artistic.
This is why I love Hong Nhung ‘s style even though
her voic isn’t rich as other singers. Hong Nhung is a natural artist!
