  8. McCain refers to Obama as “that one,” like a a freaking object and not a human. Damn, how disrespectful!

  9. Funny and a bit creepy. McCain walks around like he got a bee under his ass while Obama’s speaking.

  14. On the economy: McCain lied again when he said Obama will raise taxes on small businesses. Small businesses that make less than a quarter million dollars a year will NOT pay more taxes!

Health care:I am glad Obama stressed the importance of cracking down on private health plans that take advantage of customers. After what happened on Wall St, I guess people won’t be that allergic to the idea that the government impose some kind of regulations on big businesses.

Defense: McCain was full of it when he said that before launching attacks on countries that are suspected of harboring terrorists, he would make sure that the US work to win over the heart and mind of that country’s population (talk softly & carry a big stick). Why didn’t he try that before giving Bush the vote to go to war in Iraq searching for Bin Laden and “weapons of mass destruction”? What a snake in the grass!

International affairs: McCain mocked Obama’s idea of communicating with Iran and North Korea before turning to military measures, but then contradicted himself when he said that before launching attacks (on countries that are suspected of harboring terrorists), he would make sure that the US work to win over the heart and mind of that country’s population (talk softly & carry a big stick). Why didn’t he try that before giving Bush the vote to go to war in Iraq searching for Bin Laden and “weapons of mass destruction”? And exactly how do you win people’s heart and mind without communicating with them? The whole debate was just politics as usual for John!

McCain bragged about how military success has brought normalcy to many lives in foreign countries. I guess after a while, he created for himself a mental block when hearing about daily bombings in the streets, markets, hospitals, schools in Iraq, or may be people with missing limbs or blown into pieces are what he considers “normal”?

  15. Oops, I don’t know how a paragraph repeated itself above, probably due to my old age (-:

BTW, was McCain’s voice shaking because he knew he was lying or because he was a heartbeat away from giving this country to the mutt with lipstick?

  16. Giữa 4, Biden tốt nhất, thuyết phục nhất, chân thành nhất và bình thản nhất!

  17. His voice ain’t shaking, he was just out of breath throughout the whole debate. The 72 year old is clearly old and incapacitated. If you don’t see that as a troubling sign I don’t know what is.

  18. On Healthcare: I have don’t have any for preexistence health condition and full coverage through work but I am glad Obama mentioned no discrimination for people preexistence health condition. If you have something like diabetes which many of us have or will have, they can exclude you or jack up the price so high that you can’t afford it under the McCain’s plan.

  19. My children says that Mr. McCaine sounds like
a “life coach” last night during the debate.
I cann’t help but feel as if Mr. McCaine tries to convince himself. He looks so tired and I feel sorry for him. He looks like one of my elderly home patient.
Just the age factor alone concerns me.

Obama was very confident and presidental and he did well. Still, we don’t really know how accurate the polls are, alot of prejudice out there. He has to keep on working harder each day.

    Comment by Phạm Thiên Nhiên — 8 October 2008 @ 1:01 pm
  21. Obama was “binh tinh”. I have a little idea how hard it is to be in that tense environment. Obama exudes intelligence and confident to me.

    Comment by Phạm Thiên Nhiên — 8 October 2008 @ 1:11 pm
  23. My assessment re: net mat & phong thai is that Obama appears tired and he looks a little like he have not rested enough due to vigorous traveling schedule.

    Comment by Thu Hoai — 8 October 2008 @ 1:53 pm
  24. I didn’t see that at all. In my opinions, he’s not as cool as Hilary or Biden but I thought he was the same Obama as he’s always been. Btw, I was the Anynomous up there, my cache got wiped yesterday.

  25. BTW, I am a Delawarean now. I am back to Delaware since 1.5 years ago. It’s good to see my old man Biden as VP candidate. Biden
is a good family man with good moral /ethic values. He saw him once many moons ago at University of Delaware where he gave a speech way back when I was about 18 y/o!

    Comment by Thu Hoai — 8 October 2008 @ 2:09 pm
  26. I meanmt to say “I saw him oncce..” instead of “He saw him once..” :)
Biden tends to make up story /facts as he goes along. He ‘s a smooth talker but he needs to becareful not to put his foot in his mouth under pressure.

  27. McCain seemed to me like an angry old man during and after the debate.

    Comment by Nhiên — 8 October 2008 @ 5:04 pm
  28. I thought the best moment last night was when Obama clarified his stance against Pakistan after McBush had twisted it. Obama then cleverly mocked the walking “stick” and his chant “bomb bomb bomb Iran”. I thought that was pretty decent.

    Comment by Rick — 8 October 2008 @ 5:33 pm
  29. McCain was talking and walking like a penguin, straight up. He looks like he was about to keel over at any moment. Kept repeating the same things: “I’ve reached across party lines…”, “Joe Lieberman,” “My friends..” (I’M NOT YOUR F-ING FRIEND!). He didn’t mention Palin once nor used the word “Maverick.”

    GO OBAMA!! CHANGE WILL HAPPEN!!
