Congrats!!

As long as the baby is growing ok, it matters little how much weight mom gains. The more you gain, the more you have to lose :-). I gained 17lbs, 20 lbs and my children were both 7 lbs at birth. With monthly visit to the doc, Dana will be just fine.

Nobody is ever prepared for parenthood, but it's so rewarding! The best advice I've received as a new parent is to observe your child. That's about the only way to get to know him.

The first year and well, every year after that, are magical. Congrats and enjoy!!

I'd love to have 2 boys and 2 girls; each child is unique. But, ugh, 1 boy and 1 girl did it for us. Don't know how people handle a 3rd or a 4th child. Glad we haven't been called to test that out :-).

I prefer a girl first because girls are much easily in general but then again my husband's eldest brother is a great brother and a really good leader so it all depends.
As long as they are healty it will be just fine. The best thing you can give your children is time/attention. Every little gesture counts. Give them the gift of art/music and culture, get them interested a sport that they enjoy and excell, follow through each day with school work and you will have very well rounded children. Teach them to have compassion , kindness to others.
If you have a religion, try to get them involve in your religion will be very good for them in general.

Thanks all.

I don't have a preference. Ideally will be 2 boys and 2 girls, but will see how this boy'll treat us :)

Congratulations Donny and Dung,
Some women do not show anything for first few months, I have a friend who only get really big after 8 months.
I myself prefer a boy first, then a girl as a second baby...That is for me ideal. What do u guys think? Any preferences? Of course it doesn't really matter, you love them the same. But it's just my preference, so i'm happy for Donny...

When I saw Dung at QVNV, she does not look 5-month pregnant... (you not feeding her or something?) :o)

Newborns are surprisingly sturdy. I had similar fears as yours prior to mine being born, but--after handling her a couple of times--I got the hang of it. If memory serves, there are classes for new parents given by the hospitals as well.
