Phi Thanh Van Fires Up in Music
I haven’t heard Phi Thanh Van’s debut yet, but the photos on the album alone are probably worth checking out. Move over Ngo Thanh Van.

pre-internet sample browsing, i used to buy albums for the ‘bia’. the logic was if the music turn out to be lousy, at least there would be the eye candy so not a total loss. good music + great cover? seemingly a rarity but it happens. the last time i recall was when circuit city was around and a new girl came on the music scene.. i caught the cover from the corner of my eye, got to sample it and was hooked. it seems that i wasn’t alone.. an armful of grammys later, norah jones would become a household name.
that thing has been photoshoped to dead… look so fake, that’s not a good cover IMO.
