Is that what you think or are you suggesting its what I think? No matter the label TTH’s delivery is still sterile. If its a matter of taste I’m glad you’re satisfied with mediocrity.

Donny: I wouldn’t expect a TTH fanboy/girl to get it either.

Tannie – Just curious, are you happen to be “Withoutasol” in most forums? If you are, just want to say that having been reading most of your comments regarding Asia vs. Thuy Nga, or I remembered one comment where you said Thuy Duong’s arrangement of “Ben Xuan” beats Tran Thai Hoa-Khanh Ly’s rendition hands down, I think it’s just better to say that our tastes are different. I think what TTH is really lacking is not about his voice or deliverance, but the lack of Asia label on his CD. Well, I’m glad you did buy the CD, if not, at least listen to the one with decent quality. Anywho, if you’re not him, then nevermind, but this message still apply to the same individual if he happens to come across it.

As much as I am a big fan of TTH, I do respect most people’s opinions, I really do. I can proudly say I never jump into anyone’s opinions, agree or disagree, if it was polite and constructive. However, regarding the sex and condom analogy in the OP, that’s what really uncalled for. If you intended to make this a “knowledgeable” review, at least sound like one. If it was intended as a humor, perhapds I didn’t get it.

I also saw a comparison between Si Phu and Tran Thai Hoa. Personally, I’m never a fan of Si Phu. For his generation or a bit younger or older, I prefer “Duy Trac”, “Anh Ngoc”, and “Tuan Ngoc” much better. I have tried to listen to Si Phu many times, but have still not found a connection. I guess I prefer “cheaper” wine then. Regarding the wine, I’m looking for a good red wine, any thing to recommend?

Anyhow, I just came across this post from a link sent by a friend, and just thought to drop down a few notes. Sometimes it’s jut boggle my mind why music listeners don’t talk like music listeners but pretend to be like music listeners.

Lastly, I do respect “Pham Thien Nhien” comments, although there are a few things I disagree with.

only Duy Quang can pull off songs like Co Be Co Chiec Rang Khenh, cute fun poetic songs, songs that a guy can sing to make a gal laugh.

TTH is the new Duy Quang.
DQ has a very pleasant voice too but
is a bit bland.. although I must admit
I think DQ voice has more texture and color.

I like his voice, I really do. But Tran Thai Hoa is the puppy trying to hang with the big dogs. He’s got the bark, but not quite enough bite. Besides the lovey dovey tracks from Duc Huy he’s recorded (I also like Thu Ve Trong Mat Em, Nhat Nhoa, Toi Di Giua Hoang Hon), most of the other material he pursues really highlights the fact that he’s lacking in conviction and personality.

TTH’s voice as a latex condom? Perhaps. Many thanks to that latex condom for preventing and saving the soul of our music from dying with AIDS, which is being spread by the so-called “stimulating interpreters” and their followers.
