With his appearance in Thriller- also the title one of the most successful albums in music history- has blurred the line between what is "cool" and what is not, and lent a voice to those who are somewhat ostracized by society. I think it's sad that he tried to look white but that alone reminded us of the importance being proud of our identity. It was unfortunate that MJ had to be the guinea pig for us.
